Travel Assistance Program

As part of the Faculty Development and Enhancement initiative, tenured or tenure-track faculty may receive travel assistance if they are presenting at a conference.

The Travel Assistance program has three funding cycles annually.

  • The Summer cycle covers travel from July 1 to September 30
  • The Fall cycle covers travel from October 1 to January 31
  • and the Spring cycle covers travel from February 1 to June 30.

Faculty who are selected can receive up to $1,000 of travel assistance to attend conferences where they have been selected to present as a primary investigator.

Grantees will be limited to one Travel Assistance Grant Award per year (July1st to June 30th).

Traditionally the Summer call for applications is announced mid- June.  Applications will be due close of business, July 1; and award notifications are made by mid-July.  Conference travel should take place between July 1 - September 30.

The Fall grant cycle is  announced in mid-September with applications due October 1 and award notifications made by mid-October.

The Spring cycle follows the same timeline with an announcement in mid-January, applications due February 1 and notifications made by mid-February.

  • Be 100% appointed in a tenure track, tenured, or teaching/research asst., assoc, or professor line
