Travel Assistance Program

Purpose

As part of the Faculty Development and Enhancement initiative, tenured or tenure-track faculty may receive travel assistance if they are presenting at a conference.

Program

The Travel Assistance program is now offered semi-annually.  Faculty who are selected will receive up to $1,000 for travel assistance if presenting research findings at a conference.

The second call for applications this year will be in September 2017. Applications are due October 2, 2017; award notification will be made by mid-October 2017. Conference Travel must be completed between October 1, 2017 and January 31, 2017.  The third call for applications will be in spring 2018; travel date completion to be determined.

Criteria for Selection

Applicants must be:

  • Accepted to conference (include proof of acceptance with application)
  • Tenured or tenure-track full-time faculty
  • Senior author
  • National conference presenters (priority)

Preference will be given to those who are able to secure some matching funds from their department or college.
